Entering the specialized training

The general training for new employees ended this week. We wrapped the training with presentations from each team. I’m not actually sure how good the contents for the other teams are since I didn’t understand much of the content (I blame language barrier). I think my team did a pretty great job. I guess 40 hours of suffering was worth it in the end.

To celebrate the end of the training, the HR sent each and one of us a set of meals to our addresses. We had a one hour party (online) with the other employees as well as the HR. Almost everyone was drinking and it felt very festive, which was fun. People from the HR left the party after an hour, but they said that we’re free to continue on our own, and so we did. We ended up drinking and talking until half past ten.

Starting from next week, I’m going to be receiving another training directly from my superior in my division. There will be a lot to learn and I’m kind of scared that I won’t be able to keep up with the contents. I know that my superiors are kind but I still don’t want to disappoint them. I’ll need to put a lot of effort from now on as well.

Wow! That was kind of them to send everyone a meal to their doors! I’m sure if felt great to unwind and not talk about work as well. I think you’ll do great in the next training session. Make sure you take notes, and don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat something. If they seem agitated, just tell them that you want to make sure you’re doing your job correctly without having to contact them nearly as much. I’m very proud of you! I’m sure your mom and dad are too! And although it’s important to put all you have into your career, please find the time for self-care or you’ll burn yourself out!

Thank you! I’ll be careful to keep the balance between the two.

My daughter wanted to know what kind of food is on your tray. lol I came by to see if you posted anything new, and she saw the food. She said it looked very yummy. (We eat a lot of multicultural food since I want her to be open to all types of foods).

Lol. Your daughter must have high curiosity about a lot of stuff.
I’m not really sure what their exact names are either but going clockwise it’s bamboo shoots, veggies dipped in sauce, spicy chicken skin, slices of chicken meat with sauce (it’s hidden), tamagoyaki (fried egg roll?), and potato salad. They’re all really good!
