First of all, let me say sorry for maintaining my blog half-assedly (is that even a word).
Lately, I just haven’t been able to get into the mood to continue blogging and keeping up with others. I know that I post sporadically and just a few human beings visit, read, and comment on my posts so I’m really grateful for you guys who have constantly visited, even if you are a silent reader!
Events
A lot did happen this year. I moved out from my dorms and tried so hard to settle down in a new apartment alone. I finally got the feeling of comfort and ‘home’ after some time and I’m really happy with the place I picked! The monthly rent is quite costly but it’s worth the convenience and comfort that I get, so that’s fine, really.
I also got to travel Kyushu with my mom and aunt. We went to Fukuoka and Nagasaki, also around Beppu for our summer holiday. Even though bad things happened during that time, I still am happy that I got to spend time together with my mom. She rarely gets to travel abroad.
I guess both of those events (moving out and travel) are made possible with the help of my Japanese-Indonesian friend, Yoshiya. 😀 (He does not know about this blog, but hey, expressing gratitude does not hurt.)
Achievements
I didn’t have a lot of achievements or exciting moments but receiving another year worth of scholarship from the government really saved me a lot. I paid for my new furniture (I didn’t get second-handed goods for several reasons) all with the scholarship money that I’ve saved for months and it was really worth it.
In Entrepreneurship class, my team got nominated as one of the 5 teams that got to present our business ideas and plans in front of the class. I was really blessed because I was teamed up with really competent teammates, and group work has never felt this fun and exciting before I met them.

Working with them was a really fun ride.
Music
Naruto OSTs – Because I finally finished that series lol. It was a rollercoaster of nostalgia.
Lofi hip-hops – I accidentally discovered a whole playlist of them and instantly fell in love with it. Soothes your soul.
I’ve never really liked any musicians/singers, but this year I really took a liking to Heize and Dean, both Koreans with amazing voice and music! And July was definitely my favorite.
Things to work on
Money – I definitely failed in saving my allowances because I really spent a lot this year. Not only on furniture, but also on hobbies, fashion, and skincare. I need to stop before really falling into the hellhole of no return. I swear online retail shops are really dangerous.
Sleep – Need to stop myself from going to bed at 2 AM during schooldays. Really.
Procrastination – Hey, don’t judge me.
Planner obsession – Yes, I don’t know why but planners keep increasing in quantity even though I told myself to stop buying so much. I need to dedicate on one/two planners only for the sake of my poor wallet.
Part-time jobs – I need to find at least one stable job to have extra income and savings. This is gonna be tiring but it has to be done. (For the sake of splurging on stationaries!)
I hope you had a great year and I wish you a happy new year for 2018! ♥
