Late January 2021 wrap up and current life update

I’ve been spending most of my time at home when I’m not out working or doing groceries. Japan faced severe winter this year that electricity consumption across the nation shot up and that resulted in higher electricity bills than usual. I usually get charged $100 during winter season because I use the heater a lot, but this time it shot up to almost $150 which really surprised me. I’ve been taking longer showers and cooking more frequently at home so my gas bill rose as well. I wish spring would come soon so I don’t need to spend this much money on utility bills.

Work has been OK. I think my mind is slowly starting to give zero fucks towards that one annoying lady. Nowadays I can just easily ignore her actions and pretend like nothing happened. I told my supervisor that I’m quitting at the end of this month since my new work visa is ready and I will retrieve it on the beginning of March. I could actually push the retrieval date and work until the middle of March but I figured I wouldn’t want that since I’d be busy with moving out procedures and stuff. I still need to talk to the store manager directly to tell him I’m quitting earlier than expected, but I never see him in the store…

Lately, I’ve been immersing myself in otome games on Switch. I completed Collar x Malice (original and the Unlimited version) and am currently playing Bustafellows. For some reason, I’m just attracted to crime/mystery stories that I keep searching for more once I finish a series. It’s really entertaining but at the same time robs me of my sleeping time and money. I wish these games are a bit more affordable.

Other than that, I’m just watching some animes during the weekend. This season has some interesting titles. Kumo desu ga, nani ka?, Kemono Jihen, and Kai byoui Ramune are some of the titles that I’m currently following.

There’s only a month left before I leave this small town. I wish I could stay here longer since I’m not that fond of big cities. Another reason is because I don’t want to spend all that money to fund the moving out service and airplane ticket. I’m a bit upset that the company doesn’t cover any of the expenses when they require us to move. I could’ve used these to fund my new otome games…. or Genshin gachas. Oh well.
